The challenge: The client wanted us to renovate their traditional cottage and bring it bang up to date with all modern conveniences and a modern look – but crucially, without losing its rustic charm.
What we did: We gave this semidetached cottage the full refurbishment treatment across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a two-story extension and an office in the back garden.
Special circumstances: With wet underfloor heating everywhere on the ground floor, we installed high-quality Italian marble tiles with very small broken edges around to help achieve that blend of modern and traditional. The luxury bespoke kitchen is now complemented by a marble dining table, a marble sideboard and a marble coffee table, all from the same well-known Italian designer.
