The challenge: We were asked to erect a two-storey extension at the back of a five-bedroom house.
What we did: As the project progressed, it became clear that there was additional scope to create a new master bedroom with en suite bathroom in the loft. The property now has an extensive kitchen and one additional bedroom.
Special circumstances: With no planning permission for a dormer at the front of the property, we had to think creatively about the space and came up with a novel solution by putting an additional staircase at the back. We worked closely with the architect and suggested the best solution to the problem.
